, - ... - - '38 MINUTES REDWOOD CITY PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES August 14,1974 The regular business meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission was called to order by Acting Chairperson Weintraub at 7:35 p.m. in Meeting Room Number 1 at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City. ROLL CALL MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Knecht, Pound, Rollins, Schenck, Schlesinger, Weintraub MEMBERS ABSENT: Commissioner Wilson (excused) STAFF PRESENT: Director Max C. Weeks, Parks Superintendent Pasco Balzarini, Recreation Superintendent Bill Paulson, Administrative Assistant Tom Ferrando, Park Foreman Peter Griffiths, Secretary Cheryl Pellicano AUDIENCE PRESENT: Mr. Fred Vickers, 145 Camelia Avenue, Redwood City Kenny Vickers, 145 Camelia Avenue, Redwood City Marnie Huber, 345 Quay Lane, Redwood City APPROVAL OF MINUTES MOTION: Commissioner Rollins moved to accept the Minutes of the Special Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting regarding the acquisition of the Santa Clara Property which was held July 29,1974, seconded by Commissioner Schenck. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. MOTION: Commissioner Rollins moved to accept the Minutes of the July 10,1974 regular business meeting as mailed, seconded by Commissioner Schenck. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. CORRESPONDENCE There were no correspondence to be reported. AGENDA ITEM 1 - Election of Officers .LI r I. The Nominations Committee, consisting of Commissioners Schenck, Schlesinger, and Pound, nominated Commissioner Weintraub as Chair- person, Commissioner Knecht as Vice Chairman, and Commissioner Pound as Secretary. MOTION: Commissioner Schlesinger moved that the slate of officers be accepted by acclamation, seconded by Commissioner Rollins.
