AGENDA ITEM 2 - Discussion of Committee A~ointments -"- -~. ~;~ 9 9 Copies were made of the Parks & Recreation Committee list and distributed among the Commissioners and staff. The updated copy of the list, including the new deletions and additions, is attached. A new Committee, Redwood Shores, was also added. MOTION: Commissioner Rollins moved that Redwood Shores be made a separate Committee of the Commission and called Redwood Shores Committee, and that Redwood Shores be removed from the Open Space Committee priorities, seconded by Commissioner Schenck. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. The Downtown Action meetings were mentioned briefly. Commissioners Schenck and Weintraub requested they be notified of these meetings. REPORTS REPORT ITEM 1 - Community Park Committee The report was reviewed briefly by Committee Chairman Schenck. MOTION: Commissioner Pound moved to accept the Co~mJnity Park Committee progress report, seconded by Commissioner Rollins. The motion carried unan~ous1y by voice vote. Mr. Weeks spoke briefly regarding the Red MOrton Memorial and mentioned various suggestions regarding the memorial. He also indicated that decisions would have to be made relatively soon so that they could be included into the planning. Commissioner Knecht suggested that the final plans for what is to be inscribed into the dais be first-. approved by Mrs. Helen Morton. The Commission concurred. REPORT ITEM 2 - Design & Development Committee The report was reviewed by Committee Chairperson Weintraub. MOTION: Commissioner Rollins moved to accept the Design & Development Committee report as written, seconded by Commissioner Pound. The motion carried unan~ous1y by voice vote. REPORT ITEM 3 - Program Committee The report was presented and reviewed by Chairperson Weintraub. was necessary. No action REPORT ITEM 4 - ~erationa1 Policy Committee The report was reviewed by Committee Chairman Rollins. MOTION: It was moved by Commissioner Pound, seconded by Commissioner Knecht, to accept the Operational Policies Committee report. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
