<br />AGENDA ITEM 2 - Discussion of Committee A~ointments <br /> <br />-"- -~. ~;~ 9 9 <br /> <br />Copies were made of the Parks & Recreation Committee list and distributed among <br />the Commissioners and staff. The updated copy of the list, including the new <br />deletions and additions, is attached. A new Committee, Redwood Shores, was <br />also added. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Rollins moved that Redwood Shores be made a separate <br />Committee of the Commission and called Redwood Shores Committee, <br />and that Redwood Shores be removed from the Open Space Committee <br />priorities, seconded by Commissioner Schenck. <br /> <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />The Downtown Action meetings were mentioned briefly. Commissioners <br />Schenck and Weintraub requested they be notified of these meetings. <br /> <br />REPORTS <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 1 - Community Park Committee <br /> <br />The report was reviewed briefly by Committee Chairman Schenck. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Pound moved to accept the Co~mJnity Park Committee <br />progress report, seconded by Commissioner Rollins. <br /> <br />The motion carried unan~ous1y by voice vote. <br /> <br />Mr. Weeks spoke briefly regarding the Red MOrton Memorial and mentioned various <br />suggestions regarding the memorial. He also indicated that decisions would <br />have to be made relatively soon so that they could be included into the planning. <br />Commissioner Knecht suggested that the final plans for what is to be inscribed <br />into the dais be first-. approved by Mrs. Helen Morton. The Commission concurred. <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 2 - Design & Development Committee <br /> <br />The report was reviewed by Committee Chairperson Weintraub. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Rollins moved to accept the Design & Development <br />Committee report as written, seconded by Commissioner Pound. <br /> <br />The motion carried unan~ous1y by voice vote. <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 3 - Program Committee <br /> <br />The report was presented and reviewed by Chairperson Weintraub. <br />was necessary. <br /> <br />No action <br /> <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 4 - ~erationa1 Policy Committee <br /> <br />The report was reviewed by Committee Chairman Rollins. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />It was moved by Commissioner Pound, seconded by Commissioner Knecht, <br />to accept the Operational Policies Committee report. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />
