Mr. Rodrigues presented the various changes, <br />additions, and deletions to the Master Site.P1an (Stu1saft Park) for the <br />Parks & Recreation Commission's acceptance and recommendations to the City <br />Council. (Commissioner Rollins left the meeting at 7:45 p.m. and returned at <br />7:48 p.m.). Basically, the consultant is proposing returning the park to its <br />natural beauty and elements. Commissioner Schenck asked about the picnic <br />facilities and mentioned the poison oak. Commissioner Knecht felt it was a <br />good idea to get rid of all the poison oak but Mr. Weeks indicated that the <br />undergrowth was important to the naturalness of the park. It was pointed out <br />that further study would be given to the poison oak problems as well as to the <br />reestablishing of natural plant growth. The use of the proposed pond for fish- <br />ing was discussed.
