MOTION: Commissioner Schlesinger moved that the Design & Development report be approved, seconded by Commissioner Knecht. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. REPORT ITEM 7 - Monthly Reports A. ~~r~tJlmental Mr. Weeks stated that the staff had no further 'comments with respect to the monthly reports. Commissioner Rollins requested the status of the Street Tree Study. Mr. Weeks updated the Commission briefly on the latest developments. A proposal has been made for the Study by Creative Techniques, Inc. and a draft of a contract will soon be ready for review. Upon agreement, the matter will be referred to the City Council for approval. MOTION: Commissioner Schenck moved to accept the Departmental Monthly Reports as submitted, seconded by Commissioner Rollins. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. B. Other Reports Mr. Weeks mentioned that the Senior Citizens' presentation to the City Council regarding the construction of a Senior Center had been directed to the Parks & Recreation Commission. A meeting is scheduled for October 15, 1974, with Senior representative Mr. Morrissey to formulate a committee structure to proceed with this Study. Commissioner Schlesinger attended the Leslie Salt tour and recommended it highly. REPORT ITEM 8 - Committee Schedu1in& 1. Operational Policy Committee - October 15 - 2:30 p.m., CAB 2. Program Committee - October 15 - 4:00 p.m. - CAB 3. Design & Development Committee - October 17 - 10-:15 a.m. - CAB MATTERS FROM THE AUDIENCE The GAP students requested information regarding the proposed plans for the Hetch- Hetchy Right-of-Way, the proposed plans for the downtown improvement, and other proposed projects. Commissioner Knecht commented that this particular group of GAP students had been the most attentative and interested group to attend the Parks & Recreation Commission and congratulated them for their efforts. MOTION: There being no further business, Commissioner Rollins moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Commissioner Schlesinger.
