Also, design ~rk is underway at Mezes, Palm, Hetch~Hetchy <br />and Canyon. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Schlesinger moved that the Design & Development report <br />be approved, seconded by Commissioner Knecht. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 7 - Monthly Reports <br /> <br />A. ~~r~tJlmental <br /> <br />Mr. Weeks stated that the staff had no further 'comments with respect to <br />the monthly reports. Commissioner Rollins requested the status of the <br />Street Tree Study. Mr. Weeks updated the Commission briefly on the <br />latest developments. A proposal has been made for the Study by Creative <br />Techniques, Inc. and a draft of a contract will soon be ready for review. <br />Upon agreement, the matter will be referred to the City Council for approval. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Schenck moved to accept the Departmental Monthly <br />Reports as submitted, seconded by Commissioner Rollins. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Other Reports <br /> <br />Mr. Weeks mentioned that the Senior Citizens' presentation to the City <br />Council regarding the construction of a Senior Center had been directed <br />to the Parks & Recreation Commission. A meeting is scheduled for October 15, <br />1974, with Senior representative Mr. Morrissey to formulate a committee <br />structure to proceed with this Study. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schlesinger attended the Leslie Salt tour and recommended it <br />highly. <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 8 - Committee Schedu1in& <br /> <br />1. Operational Policy Committee - October 15 - 2:30 p.m., CAB <br />2. Program Committee - October 15 - 4:00 p.m. - CAB <br />3. Design & Development Committee - October 17 - 10-:15 a.m. - CAB <br /> <br />MATTERS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br /> <br />The GAP students requested information regarding the proposed plans for the Hetch- <br />Hetchy Right-of-Way, the proposed plans for the downtown improvement, and other <br />proposed projects. Commissioner Knecht commented that this particular group of <br />GAP students had been the most attentative and interested group to attend the <br />Parks & Recreation Commission and congratulated them for their efforts. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />There being no further business, Commissioner Rollins moved that the <br />meeting be adjourned, seconded by Commissioner Schlesinger.
