Chairperson Weintraub suggested the <br />letter be forwarded to the Operational Policies Committee for review and recom- <br />mendations. <br /> <br />Mr. Weeks related that he had received a call from Mrs. Bernice Neilson, Senior <br />Community Representative, who conveyed that a similar request had been made to <br />the Salvation Army Board. Mrs. Neilson indicated that she would be interested <br />in the Commission's thoughts with respect to park naming policies. She also <br />suggested that perhaps some feature or other memorial could be named in lieu of <br />a park. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schenck commented that he did not personally know E1ouise Campbell <br />and requested the Operational Policies Committee include some statistics of <br />the work E10uise Campbell ,accomplished in the community along with their <br />recommendations. <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Schlesinger asked if park naming after deceased residents had been <br />a past policy of the City. Chairperson Weintraub indicated that it had, however, <br />a specific policy had not been designated and it was felt this was necessary at <br />the present ttme. <br /> <br />Item 2 - San Mateo County Minutes <br /> <br />The San Mateo County Minutes and Agenda were passed around to the Commission for <br />their review. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM 1 - Discussion - Results of Advisory Commissioners Workshop Held <br />October 19,1974 <br /> <br />Commissioner Weintraub and Commissioner Wilson attended the Workshop and Commis- <br />sioner Wilson commented that he felt several things had been carried over to the <br />afternoon that could have been concluded in the morning, but that the morning <br />session had gone quite well. Chairperson Weintraub commented that the day was <br />very tiring. She then passed around some well prepared pamphlets from the Work- <br />shop which she wanted to share with the Commission. In all, the Workshop was <br />informative though a bit too long. <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 1 - Program Committee <br /> <br />Commissioner Rollins remarked that the report summed up the meeting quite well. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Cammissioner Rollins moved to accept the Program Committee report, <br />seconded by Cammissioner Wilson. <br /> <br />f <br />~ <br />¡ <br />, <br />! <br /> <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 2 - Monthly Reports <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />~artment Reports <br /> <br />Mr. Weeks related to the Commission that it now appears that the request to <br />call for bids for phase two of Red Morton Community Park will be on the <br />Council agenda at their meeting of December 9. <br /> <br />Mr. Weeks also conveyed that Osmundson & Associates were now working on the <br />working drawings for first phase of Stu1saft Park.
