<br />,~ <br /> <br /> <br />62 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 3 - Community Park Committee <br /> <br />The list of items which appeared on the Community Park Committee report was <br />discussed. The bocci ball court covering was mentioned and it was suggested <br />that some sort of design study be made as to the actual cost of the cover. <br />It was felt that the figure at $10,000 was probably a little high. It was <br />pointed out that this figure was based upon cost of structures similar to <br />the request; however, aäøtgfi~( study wo~ld be made. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Rollins moved to accept the Community Park <br />Committee report as written, seconded by Commissioner Pound. <br />Chairwoman Weintraub went on record that she was opposed to <br />including item number 6 (Bocci Ball covering) in the acceptance <br />of this report. <br /> <br /> <br />The motion carried by voice vote. <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 4 - Monthly Re~rts <br /> <br />A. P§Jartmep t~al Monthly Repprts <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Corrmissioner Pound moved to accept the Departmental Monthly <br />Reports as written, seconded by Commissioner Rollins. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Oth,er~ Repor ts <br /> <br />, - - <br /> <br />Mr. Weeks ,,-iJ:]di,cated, -that '-he now has' .the 'draft ',of the new Commissioners' <br /> <br />,. - <br /> <br />Manual and the Commissioners were pleased with the report. It will be <br />edited and presented to the Committee in the near future. <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 5 - Committee Schedpling <br /> <br />Design & Development Committee: February 18; 3:00 PM, C.A.B. <br /> <br />ROUND TABLE <br /> <br />Commissioner Wilson reported that the Housing Task Force had thinned to <br />approximately twenty members and was now going forward at a rapid pace. <br />A bus tour was taken which added much insight into the housing problem. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schlesinger reported on his meetings with the Open Space <br />Task Force and mentioned that the Committee is now becoming very productive. <br /> <br /> <br />Chairwoman Weintraub asked if the signs were able to be removed from Stafford <br />Park. Mr. Weeks indicated these signs would be down as soon as new signs <br />were made and he further indicated that the staff was trying to find a <br />method of posting these necessary signs on a temporary basis until something <br />of a more permanent nature could be worked out in the new park design. <br /> <br />~-----,,~_..- - <br />
