<br />- ~ - <br /> <br /> <br />"- "-- -Ill <br /> <br />At the conclusion of the discussion a motion was made. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br /> <br />- . <br /> <br />Commissioner Wilson moved, seconded by Commissioner <br />Knecht, that the Parks & Recreation Commission recommend <br />to the City Council that the City support the basic con- <br />cepts that are proposed for open space use at the high <br />school site and that the Sequoia High School District <br />be urged to consider preservation of the open space <br />elements as presented in the proposal from the Environ- <br />mental Volunteers. The motion carried unanimously by <br />voice vote. <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 3 - Program Committee Report <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Pound moved to accept the Program Com- <br />mittee report, seconded by -Commissioner Weintraub. <br />The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />MONTHLY REPORTS <br /> <br />.j <br /> <br />~a !~!TI~~n~t ~P&n.th 1 y~ ~R,ep~o~ris <br /> <br />In addition to reviewing the reports, Mr. Weeks mentioned that the <br />Red Morton Dedication would be held October 5 at 2:00 PM at the memorial <br />site in Red Morton Community Park. . <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner ~ound moved to accept the Department monthly <br />reports, seconded by Commissioner Wilson. The motion <br />carried unanimously by voice vote. . <br /> <br />0 t~h- e Lr ~ ~ e ,pao rat ~ A <br /> <br />Mr. Weeks mentioned the league of California Cities Conference to be <br />hel din San Franci sco October 19-22. Regi-strati on i snow bei ng made <br />through the City Manager1s office. It was pointed out that the budget <br />provides for three Parks & Recreation Commission members to attend the <br />meetings. Chairman Knecht suggested Commissioners Aldrich, Wilson, and <br />Pound be permitted to attend. <br /> <br />The next combined Council-Commission meeting was discussed. The Com- <br />mission flet they would like to spend some time discussing the standards <br />of quality of development. It was suggested that perhaps the next <br />meeting might be sometime in October. Mr. Weeks will proceed with <br />arrangements. <br /> <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />There being no further business, Commissioner Weintraub moved to adjourn <br />the regular business meeting, seconded by Commissioner Wilson. The <br />motion carried unanimously by voice vote and the meeting adjourned at <br />9:55 PM. <br /> <br />
