<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />Agreement <br />for <br />(Paramedic Coordination) <br />Fire Protection Services <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 15th day of March, 1998, by and <br /> <br />between the SOUTH COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION AUTHORITY, a Joint Powers <br /> <br />Agreement, ("Authority"), REDWOOD CITY a municipal corporation of the State of <br /> <br />California ("City") and the WOODSIDE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, a fire <br /> <br />protection district in the County of San Mateo, State of California, organized pursuant to <br /> <br />Section 13801, et seq., of the Health and Safety Code ("District"). <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City and Authority intend to develop an Advanced Life Support <br /> <br />Program in order to provide the most efficient fire protection service to City and <br /> <br />Authority. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City and Authority are required to be accredited by the San Mateo <br /> <br />County Department of Health Services ("Department") in order to provide the Advanced <br /> <br />Life Support Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, prior to receiving accreditation from the Department, City and <br /> <br />Authority intend to enter into an Agreement with the District for the use of a paramedic <br /> <br />coordinator. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed by the parties hereto as follows: <br /> <br />1.
