<br />a. District shall provide City and Authority, upon request, with the <br /> <br />seryices of Battalion Chief Armando Muela, a paramedic coordinator <br /> <br />("Coordinator"), or with Coordinator's designee ("Designee"), <br /> <br />acceptable to City and Authority, in the event that Coordinator is not <br /> <br />available, to develop City's and Authority's Advanced Life Support <br /> <br />Program as defined below. <br /> <br />2. Term. <br /> <br />This Agreement shall become effective upon execution by all <br /> <br />parties and shall continue in full force and effect for a minimum of three years <br /> <br />or until terminated in writing by any of the parties pursuant to Section 12, <br /> <br />below. <br /> <br />3. Compensation. Compensation for services rendered by Coordinator or <br /> <br />Designee shall be at Coordinator's respective salary. Coordinator's salary is set forth in <br /> <br />Exhibit "A" and "B" attached hereto and incorporated by this reference and will also <br /> <br />include any step increases and yearly raises in accordance with the pay schedule of the <br /> <br />District at the time the services are rendered, <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Payment. District shall invoice City and Authority on a monthly basis until <br /> <br />June 30, 1998 for all services rendered by Coordinator or Designee. District shall invoice <br /> <br />City and Authority quarterly thereafter. Payments by City and Authority shall respectfully <br /> <br />be made to District within forty-five (45) days from the date of receipt of invoice, <br /> <br />5. Employment. Notwithstanding the above, when Coordinator or Designee <br /> <br />provides services for City and/or Authority, he shall remain an employee of the District <br /> <br />and District shall be responsible for furnishing all workers compensation benefits to those <br /> <br />employees.
