Cullen, Director of Public Works SUBJECT: Annexation of Property to the Emerald Lake Heights Sewer Maintenance District - Lands of Evans - Redwood City Area Recommendation Acting as the governing board of the Emerald Lake Heights Sewer Maintenance District and after conducting the public hearing: 1. Adopt a resolution ordering the annexation of the Lands of Evans to the Emerald Lake Heights Sewer Maintenance District (District) and authorizing the President of the Board to execute Supplemental Agreement No. 35 to the "Agreement for Sewage Transmission, Treatment and Disposal of Sanitary Sewerage By and Between the City of Redwood City, the County of San Mateo and the Emerald Lake Heights Sewer Maintenance District" (Transmission Agreement). 2. Instruct the Clerk of the Board to transmit a copy of the resolution ordering annexation, along with the executed duplicate original of Supplemental Agreement No. 35, to the City of Redwood City. Your Board authorizing the proposed annexation can result in the District providing sanitary sewer service to a parcel in a suburban area that would otherwise use an "on-site" method to handle wastewater, which could have an impact on neighboring residents.
