<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-City Council has approved a request for $30,000 in new play equipment <br />for Marlin Park. <br /> <br />-There needs to be a restroom installed in the park on Quay Lane. <br /> <br />-There will be a budget hearing in mid-May in which residents can make <br />their desires known to City Council. <br /> <br />-Redwood Shores has generated $1.3 million above services received from <br />the City. <br /> <br />-Does Redwood City intend to acquire any launch ramp sites? There is one <br />near the entryway to Redwood Shores on Marine World Parkway that would be <br />ideal. <br /> <br />-Mike Gibson said that Redwood Shores Properties has some launching <br />facilities available but was not aware the public was interested in <br />them. <br /> <br />-Mariner Park seems to over-watered all the time; can1t you water it <br />less? <br /> <br />-Suggested acquiring land adjacent to freeway rather than internally in <br />Redwood Shores (residential areas) to be used for large athletic field <br />complex as Belmont did. <br /> <br />-People asked about the budget for maintenance/operation of parks. <br /> <br />-Concerns about Mariner Park going to dirt; what happens with dust going <br />downwind and affecting people's homes? <br /> <br />-What about doing Marlin Park in phases? Phase I basketball court, tennis <br />courts, non-water use facilities; Phase II turf, fields, landscaping. <br />What percentage of cost would be allocated to Phase I? <br />What to Phase II? <br /> <br />-Suggested that a survey be sent to Redwood Shores residents asking them <br />for their priorities? Community Center, playing fields, library and <br />police facilities, lagoon access? <br /> <br />-Why is money not ear-marked for maintenance and operation?
