<br />r <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />be analyzed to formulate a consensus before a recommendation could be made to <br />the City Council and mentioned that an additional meeting could be held if <br />necessary. <br /> <br />ITEM 2 - 4th of July Parade <br /> <br />Commissioner Mortensen said that he will be faxing a letter to Jim Francis <br />formalizing the use of his vehicle in the parade and will be sending him a <br />map. He said that two volunteers would be needed to decorate the car. The <br />vehicle needs to be in the staging area by 8:45am and could be decorated at <br />that time. All other Commissioners need to arrive by 9:15am. <br /> <br />ITEM 3 - Park and Recreation Brochure <br /> <br />Item was deferred to next meeting. <br />ITEM 4 - Meeting with Fair Oaks Advisory Board <br /> <br />The Commissioners agreed on July 17 as the date of the joint meeting with <br />the Fair Oaks Advisory Board. The meeting will begin at 7:30pm and will be <br />held at the Fair Oaks Community Center. The joint meeting will be held in <br />lieu of the Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting scheduled for July 24. <br /> <br />Committee Reports/Monthly Reports/Matters of Commission Interest <br /> <br />As the May Monthly reports were delivered late to the Commissioners,-they <br />will be reviewed at the next regular Parks and Recreation Commission <br />meeting. <br /> <br />-Commissioner Truscelli said that she and Vince arranged the lunch portion of <br />the IILunch with the Bunny" event mentioned in the minutes of May 22. She <br />said the event was very successful and could be a nice money maker. <br /> <br />-Commissioner Truscelli said that she attended the Memorial Day Services held <br />at 8am at Union Cemetery which were sponsored by the American Legion. <br />A breakfast also followed the ceremony. <br /> <br />-Commissioner Truscelli also said she attended the Concert in the Park held <br />on June 6 at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. The event was sponsored by <br />Civic Cultural Commission and had 150 people in attendance. <br /> <br />-Commissioner Howard said that the Pride and Beautification Committee <br />recently presented the 1991 Mayor1s Beautification awards. Ten nominations <br />were received and awards were presented to all nominees. A list of the <br />recipients will be sent to the Commissioners for their review. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-Vice Chairperson Slusser welcomed newly appointed Commissioner Truscelli to <br />the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission was adjourned at <br />9:25pm to be reconvened at 7:30pm on Wednesday, July 17, 1991 and held at <br />the Fair Oaks Community Center, 2600 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, <br />California. <br /> <br />------ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />.
