<br />I <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />ì <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Analyst Aguilar stated that the U.S. Department of the Interior, Archeology <br />and Historic Preservation; Secretary of the Interior1s Standards and <br />Guidelines would be used to assure that all proposed work was in legal <br />compliance. In addition, staff would rely on documentation guidelines <br />proposed in A GravelarQ Preserv~~ion Primer by Lynette Strangstad to record <br />and document all work done at the Cooley Plot. <br /> <br />Commissioner Slusser recommended that staff audit the procedures, technical <br />and administrative, to assure accountability for work done. Commissioner <br />Hardness wanted to be sure that any steps done should be chronicled for <br />future reference. <br /> <br />Prior to any work commencing, a key issue to be resolved would be storage of <br />the Cooley Plot wooden fence pieces while being restored. <br /> <br />MIS Swope/Truscelli: To approve the Cooley Plot Fence Restoration Project. <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />Committee Reports <br /> <br />-Commissioner Truscelli said she ;s making arrangements for a car for the 4th <br />of July Parade. Chairperson Davis announced he was making the necessary <br />signs for the car. <br /> <br />-Commissioner Berone stated there was no new information from the Youth <br />Advisory Committee. <br /> <br />-Commission Nordness explained his efforts at developing cost estimates and <br />types of memorials available for the Gerry Letzr;ng Memorial. <br /> <br />-Director Griffiths informed the Commission that the Street Tree Program was <br />being transferred to the General Services Department as of July 1, 1993. <br /> <br />Matters of COilission Interest <br /> <br />-Commissioner Nordness expressed his concern about Fleishman Park and the <br />caliber of some of the people that frequent the park. <br /> <br />-Commissioner Truscelli said she was working on the panel for selecting the <br />Mayor1s Beautification Awards. <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission was adjourned at <br />9:54pm to be reconvened at 7:30pm on Wednesday, July 28. 1993 to be held at <br />the Community Activities Building. 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City. <br />California. <br /> <br />
