<br />ITEM 1- BELMONT SCHOOL DISTRICT UPDATE <br /> <br />Director Griffiths discussed the meeting with the Homeowners Association <br />and the Belmont School District Negotiating Committee held on August 18. <br /> <br />COMMITIEE REPORTS <br /> <br />-Commissioner Nordness reported the Chinese delegation visited Sequoia <br />Hospital and the City is expecting another delegation to visit next week. The <br />cultural group from China will be sent in the Fall of 1995. They would like to <br />promote a summer camp in China for Redwood City residents. There are <br />also plans to establish a Mexico sister city program. <br /> <br />-Commissioner Davis reported that he received a call from a dog owner about <br />the proposed dog exercise area on the Hetch Hetchy Right-of-Way. <br /> <br />MONTHLY REPORTS <br /> <br />-Commissioner Howard said she was impressed with volunteer hours <br />reported by the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />-Commissioner Howard announced CORRO presentations will be held <br />September 12, 1994 at 3:00pm in the Library Community Room. <br /> <br />-Commissioner Nordness announced the City of Burlingame announced <br />plans to establish a driving range near the Bayshore Freeway at an old City <br />dump facility. <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commissioner was <br />adjourned at 8:46pm to be reconvened at 7:30pm on Wednesday, September <br />28, 1994 at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, <br />Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />
