Mr. <br />Aguilar said HUCA plans to photograph, videotape and sketch every step of <br />the repair procedure in order to learn from the project. Commissioner Davis <br />said the responsibility of HRAC is to ensure that proper procedures are <br />followed at Union Cemetery and the Commission's responsibility was to <br />make sure that all projects meet the policies established for the site. <br /> <br />M/S Davis/Truscelli: To approve in principle the restoration/repair of the <br />proposed monuments subject to the certification <br />of HRAC that the proposed procedures are <br />followed. <br /> <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />Mr. Aguilar will report back to HRAC with the Commission's concerns and <br />recommendations. Commissioner Nordness said he wanted to ensure that <br />proper procedures are followed to obtain qualified bids in the future. Mr. <br />Aguilar explained the bid process and the monetary requirements for going <br />out to bid and the fact no City monies are involved in the proposed <br />Monument Repair Project. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />-Commissioner Nordness reported that Redwood City International wants to <br />include a Sister City in Mexico as part of its program. Councilwoman Georgi <br />LaBerge is chairing a committee to select the appropriate Sister City in Mexico. <br /> <br />-Chairperson Swope asked for a status on the Dogs in the Parks Sub~ <br />Committee. Commissioners Davis and Howard have not been able to meet <br />to discuss an appropriate plan of action. Chairperson Swope said she felt that <br />they should meet with each of the neighbors of the proposed dog site in order <br />to try and resolve the issue. <br /> <br />MIS Nordness/Truscelli: To adjourn this evening's meeting of the Park <br />and Recreation Commission in memory of <br />our former City Manager Jim Smith. <br /> <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was adjourned <br />in memory of Jim Smith at 8:35pm to be reconvened at 7:30pm on <br />Wednesday, November 30, 1994 to be held at the Community Activities <br />Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />
