<br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />there is not much available land in Redwood City to build new fields and <br />noted that the Ampex land was recently sold. He said Canada College has a <br />representative on the committee and there is a possibility that other sports <br />groups may be able to use the Canada playing fields. <br /> <br />Supervisor Wooten said the committee is doing a good' job and has good <br />representation from all groups including the Sequoia Union High School <br />District and the Redwood City Elementary School District. The committee <br />members have all agreed that we need more and better facilities to <br />accommodate the needs of all users. <br /> <br />Commissioner Davis announced he will be heading up the President's Group <br />of the ad hoc committee. He said the committee is a chance for each group to <br />communicate their needs and problems, makes each groups more aware of <br />each other's needs, and improves the communication between groups. <br />Commissioner Davis suggested asking the Pacific Shores group to make a <br />presentation to the Commission about the project, which will allow the <br />Commissioners to give their suggestions on the project. <br /> <br />Supervisor Wooten reviewed the 1996 Field Schedules he provided to the <br />Commissioners. One correction was made to page 2 of the Soccer/Baseball/ <br />Football practice schedule. The AYSO practice at Hoover should be under the <br />Saturday Soccer Schedule not the Sunday schedule. <br /> <br />ITEM 2 - BELMONT SCHOOL DISTRICT-SANDPIPER PARK UPDATE <br /> <br />The Commissioners were provided with a report from Director Griffiths on <br />the progress of the Sandpiper Project. <br /> <br />ITEM 3 - CPRS CONFERENCE-SAN DIEGO <br /> <br />Chairperson Swope will report on the CPRS Conference at the March <br />meeting. Superintendent Seleznow mentioned the conference was excellent <br />and that next year's CPRS conference will be held in Sacramento. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />There were no committee reports. <br /> <br />MONTHLY REPORTS <br /> <br />The Commissioners discussed the quarterly report from Supervisor Linda <br />Griffiths of the Senior Center. <br /> <br />
