Refreshments <br />will be served and tours of the facility will be available. Chairperson Truscelli <br />and Commissioners Slusser, Nordness and Davis will be in attendance. <br /> <br />ITEM 6 - IMPLEMENTATION OF FY96-97 WORKPLAN GOALS <br /> <br />Commissioner Nordness reported that he and Commissioner Davis have <br />established contact with the elementary schools and will be developing a plan <br />for the March meeting (Objective #2). Commissioner Slusser reported he will <br />be presenting a draft plan on Objective #4 in March. Superintendent Hover <br />suggesting having the Commissioners report in March on their assigned <br />objectives. <br /> <br />COMMITIEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Commissioner Davis reported he is still working on the draft of the letter <br />regarding heritage trees which was discussed at the January meeting. <br /> <br />ANN OUN CEMENTS <br /> <br />-Commissioner Nordness reported he attended a meeting by DES, Inc. <br />regarding the new Pacific Shores Center. The needs of the proposed playing <br />fields for the project were discussed and Commissioner N ordness said he <br />endorsed the concept of a soccer field for the project. <br /> <br />-Commissioner Nordness also handed out a copy of the City's Web Site <br />informa tion to the Commissioners. <br /> <br />-Chairperson Truscelli announced the Native Daughters of the Golden <br />West's Arbor Day Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center on <br />Saturday, March 1 at 2:00pm. Senior Affairs Commissioner Geary Lloyd will <br />be honored at the event. <br /> <br />-Reminder: The March meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission will <br />be at the Red Morton Center. <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was adjourned <br />at 8:50pm to be reconvened at 7:30pm on Wednesday, March 26, 1997 to be <br />held at the Red Morton Center, 1120 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, <br />California. <br />
