<br />Park & Recreation CommiS¡6ion <br />Minutes .of March 26/ 1997 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />-Chairperson Truscelli suggested having Commissioners attend other <br />board/commission meetings as a way of getting to know the other groups and <br />introducing them to 'our Commission's activities. Commissioner Hughes <br />agreed to attend the April Senior Affairs Commission meeting and <br />Chairperson Truscelli will attend the April Civic Cultural Commission. <br /> <br />-Commissioner Davis spoke about the letter he agreed to write to the City <br />Council on behalf of the Commission at the January meeting. He explained <br />that he spoke with Director Griffiths concerning the matter who suggested <br />that he meet with Public Works Director Peter Ingram. After meeting with <br />Director Ingram, he developed a memo for the Commissioners' review. <br />After discussing the matter, the Commissioners agreed not to send a letter to <br />the City Council. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />-Commissioner Hughes announced the Rotary's St. Patrick's Day event <br />brought in over $16,000.00 to benefit the Kainos organization. <br /> <br />-Superintendent Hover announced there will be a change in the process for <br />taking and preparing the Commission minutes. The meetings will now be <br />audio taped and the tapes will be available in the office for the <br />Commissioners to review. "Action Minutes" will now be prepared rather <br />than the lengthy narrative minutes we now have. Secretary Denise Monroe <br />will still prepare the agendas, minutes, and Commission packets but will no <br />longer be attending the monthly meetings. <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was adjourned <br />at 8:30pm to be reconvened at 7:30pm on Wednesday, April 23, 1997 to be held <br />at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood <br />City, California. <br /> <br />I <br />
