Superintendent Hover asked the Commission <br />to review the Department's Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) Status Report <br />and to consider staff's current project workload. Chairperson Truscelli told <br />Mr. Anderlini that he would be advised of the date when his issue would be <br />heard before the Commission. <br /> <br />Commissioner Slusser requested that the Commission be provided with <br />quarterly rIP updates and Superintendent Hover agreed to provide them. <br /> <br />ITEM 1- REPORT ON CPRS CONFERENCE <br /> <br />Commissioner Morton reported on the CPRS Conference held in Sacramento <br />during March. He spoke about the informative sessions he attended, the <br />awards ceremony at which the Red Morton Center was honored, and the <br />scholarships provided to youth. <br /> <br />ITEM 2 - 4th OF JULY PARADE ENTRY <br /> <br />Commissioner Nordness discussed the availability of a fire truck for the <br />Commission to ride in for the parade and the need to plan the decorations for <br />the vehicle. <br /> <br />M/S Davis/Morton: <br /> <br />To accept the offer of the fire truck and to send in <br />the 4th of July entry application. <br /> <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hughes agreed to complete and send in the application. <br /> <br />ITEM 3 - PROPOSED FUND RAISING EVENT FOR THERAPEUTIC <br />RECREATION PROGRAM <br /> <br />Commissioner Hughes explained she met with Therapeutic Coordinator <br />Erlinda Tulioc to discuss the Commission's support of a fundraising spaghetti <br />dinner to benefit the therapeutic recreation program. Commissioner Hughes <br />said the goal is to raise $3,000.00 for the program and asked for the assistance <br />of Pauline and Vince Truscelli to help with cooking the dinner which will be <br />held at the Vets Senior Center. The Commissioners discussed the proposal <br />and agreed that a sub-committee was needed to organize the event. <br /> <br />MIS N ordness/Morton: To have a fundraiser for the Therapeutic <br />Recreation Program. <br /> <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hughes was appointed as chairperson of the sub-committee. <br /> <br /> <br />
