<br />Park & Recreation Commission <br />Minutes of April 23, 1997 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />ITEM 4 - PLANS FOR CITY COUNCIL PARK TOUR-MAY 17, 1997 <br /> <br />The Commissioners discussed the agenda for the Park Tour scheduled for <br />Saturday, May 17. Because Commissioners Davis, Morton and Slusser will <br />not be able to attend on this date, the Commissioners asked if the date could <br />be re-scheduled to Saturday, May 31. Superintendent Hover said staff will <br />check to see if this new date would be agreeable to the Mayor and City Council <br />members. Commissioner Davis will meet with Superintendent Hover to <br />finalize the agenda for the Park Tour. <br /> <br />ITEM 5 - IMPLEMENTATION OF FY96-97 WORKPLAN GOALS <br /> <br />Commissioner Slusser reported that a space has been reserved at the 4th of <br />July Festival for the Commission and he will meet with Commissioner <br />Swope to work on the storyboard. He will mail copies of the storyboard <br />design to the Commissioners for their review and comments. <br /> <br />Commissioner Davis stated he would like Commission input on the <br />inventory analysis sheet he developed. <br /> <br />Superintendent Hover reported on the development of our Web page and <br />asked Commissioner Nordness for his assistance in gathering data and taking <br />pictures of our parks for inclusion on the Web page. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />-Reports from Commissioners attending other boards or commission <br /> <br />. <br />meetIngs <br />Chairperson Truscelli attended the opening event of the Senior Games at the <br />Veterans Memorial Senior Center on April 3. Commissioner Slusser <br />attended the Civic Cultural Commission meeting the same evening. He <br />reported that several of the Civic Cultural Commissioners inquired about <br />having a joint meeting with the Park and Recreation Commission after <br />January 1998 to share information and objectives. <br /> <br />Commissioner Nordness reported on attending the Fair Oaks Community <br />Center Advisory Board meeting. He also requested that the Park and <br />Recreation Commission receive copies of their monthly board minutes. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hughes attended the April meeting of the Senior Affairs <br />Commission. <br /> <br />
