<br />Park & Recreation Commission <br />Minutes of August 27, 1997 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />-Commissioner Davis asked about the results of the report prepared by the <br />alumni of Stanford University on the Red Morton Center. He also inquired about <br />an update of the City's tree ordinance from Public Works Director Peter Ingram. <br />Superintendent Hover will check on these items. <br /> <br />-Chairperson Truscelli said she attended the July 10 and 23 meetings of the <br />Senior Affairs Commission. She will also be attending a meeting on August 29 <br />with representatives from Kaiser Hospital regarding health care in the <br />community. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />-Chairperson Truscelli announced the Labor Day Fest to be held on September <br />1 at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. <br /> <br />-Commissioner Nordness distributed information from the Mid-Peninsula Open <br />Space District which notes the locations where dogs are allowed in their parks. <br />He also attended a recent public meeting sponsored by this organization. <br /> <br />-Chairperson Truscelli announced she was contacted by City Clerk Arlyn <br />Jorgenson and asked whether the Commission was planning on meeting in the <br />City Council chambers in the new City Hall. The Commissioners will continue <br />meeting at the Community Activities Building. <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was adjourned at <br />9:25pm to be reconvened at 7:30pm on Wednesday, September 24, 1997 to be <br />held at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood <br />City, California. <br /> <br />
