<br />Park & Recreation Commission r <br />Minutes of July 28, 1999 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />ITEM 5-UPDATE ON 1999 PARK TOUR <br /> <br />Secretary Monroe reported that we have been unable to obtain a quorum of the <br />City Council on any of the dates (August 4, 5, 11. 12) for the 1999 Park Tour. <br />She noted that Mayor Howard suggested Thursday. August 19 or sometime in <br />September. The Commissioners discussed the 1999 Park Tour and the <br />possibility of having the tour every other year rather than every year. <br />Commissioner Davis suggested not having the tour this year but rather inviting <br />the Council to a future meeting to discuss our finished strategic plan. The <br />Commissioners agreed with the suggestion and asked Secretary Monroe to <br />notify the Mayor and City Council. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />-Superintendent Hover announced that the Stulsaft and Stafford fundraising to <br />date was $69,303.00 which includes $45,000.00 from the Stulsaft Foundation. <br />Chairperson Morton asked about the man who was interested in making a large <br />donation to the Stulsaft playground project. Superintendent Hover stated he has <br />left messages several times but has not received a return call He will follow up <br />on this matter again and report back to the Commission. <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was adjourned at <br />8:53pm to be reconvened at 7:30pm on Wednesday, August 25, 1999 to be held <br />at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, <br />California <br /> <br />
