Request for support of continuance of the Underground Conversion Program - Public Utilities Commission Rule 20A Report of Director of Public Works 7/19/82 Acting City Manager Schroeter explained that the Planning Commission had asked Director of Public Works Addiego to write to the City Council regarding the subject item so that the City could have a representative present at the PUC hearings on August 3 - 6, 1982. Vice Mayor Britschgi stated for the record that any reference to Pacific Telephone included in material regarding the subject Underground Conversion Program is in error and that Pacific Telephone is not included and that he will therefore not remove himself from Chambers during the discussion and vote on the matter. M/S: Biagi/Mosher to send a representative of the City to the hearings of the Public Utilities Commission regarding the need for continuance of the Underground Conversion Program, sta ting that the Program is essential to the downtown area and to the entire community.
