Cordilleras Creek - Removal of sand and gravel deposits RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE CITY OF SAN CARLOS FOR THE REMOVAL OF SAND AND GRAVEL IN CORDILLERAS CREEK ACTION TAKEN (continued) PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) Report of City Manager and Director of Public Works 8/2/82 Mayor Stangel declared open at 7:38 p.m. Affidavit of Publication of Notice of Hearing is on file. Don Warren, member of Grading and Hauling Ordinance Committee, and Redwood Shores, Inc., 350 Marine World Parkway, stated that as the most affected party, he supports the proposed ordinance as submitted by the Committee. Mayor Stangel invited anyone present who wished to speak to do so. No one else wished to speak. MIS: Britschgi/Mosher to close the public hearing . Carried unanimously by voice vote and public hearing closed at 7:40 p.m. Title read. MIS: Biagi/Britschgi ORDINANCE approved for first reading unanimously by roll call vote. ---------------------------------------------- REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS Report of City Manager 9/2/82 Mayor Stangel announced that Councilman Priscilla Mosher has agreed to serve as Council representative to the subject Committee. Mayor Stangel also announced that Commissioner Jack Castle has accepted appointment as the Planning Commission representative, noting that Commissioners Gerald Chandler and Richard Dodge will represent the Port Commission. MINUTE ORDER NO. 82-150 ---------------------------------------------- REPORTS OF CITY MANAGER Report of City Manager and Director of Public Works 8/30/82 Title read. MIS: Britschgi/Biagi RESOLUTION NO. 9209 adopted unanimously by roll call vote. Michael Rivas, 159 G Street, urged that the subject project include clearing any debris under the bridge near the Circle Star Theatre in San Carlos. It was explained that the subject resolution just adopted is an agreement for the joint undertaking of the cities of Redwood City and San Carlos to clear sand and gravel from Cordilleras Creek and adjacent to the bridges and culverts between EI Camino Real and Industrial Road in order to alleviate flooding in the area.
