event will end by 10:30 AM and the course will be completely cleared by 11:00 <br /> AM. <br /> 6. Course Control. Those portions of the "RUN BY THE BAY"taking place in <br /> the public rights of way shall occur in a manner and shall be limited to that area <br /> designated by the Chief of Police. Should the Chief of Police determine that the <br /> provision of Police Officers is required for the control of traffic in connection with <br /> said "RUN BY THE BAY", Permittee agrees to reimburse City for costs <br /> associated therewith. <br /> 7. Insurance. Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and property <br /> damage insurance naming the City of Redwood City, its Council, boards, <br /> commissions, officers, employees, and agents as insureds, or additional <br /> insureds, insuring the same against all claims for personal injury or death to any <br /> person or persons resulting or arising from the conducting of the activities <br /> herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted or alleged to have arisen <br /> therefrom, or from any act or omission to act, of Permittee in connection <br /> therewith, in the amounts of $500,000 for each person and $1,000,000 for each <br /> occurrence, and property damage insurance for damage or injury to, or - <br /> destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, in the amount of <br /> $500,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in form satisfactory to the City <br /> shall be furnished by Permittee to the City at least ten (10) days prior to <br /> commencement of the event. <br /> 8. Damage to Public Property. Permittee shall reimburse the City for the costs <br /> for any damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the designated route, <br /> caused by or arising out of, the conducting of the "RUN BY THE BAY" permitted <br /> hereunder, or the acts, or omissions to act, of persons participating in said <br /> event. All signs or other markings placed in or upon public property, including <br /> the public right of way in connection the "RUN BY THE BAY", shall be removed <br /> immediately following said event. <br /> 9. Compliance With Laws. Permittee shall comply with all appropriate and <br /> applicable rules, regulations and laws in connection with the conducting of said <br /> event, or any activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in addition to <br /> all other permits which are or may be required for conducting the "RUN BY THE <br /> BAY" or any associated activity. <br /> 10. Hold Harmless. Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnify and <br /> save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, <br /> commissions, employees and agents from all suits, actions, damages, or claims <br /> to which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature whatsoever, resulting <br /> from or arising out of the performance or failure to perform of Permittee <br /> hereunder, or otherwise arising from or arising out of said race, or any activities <br /> herein permitted. <br /> 11. Additional Matters. Additional or further matters not herein described or <br /> contemplated in connection thinner"RUN,BYTHEIB`AY ishglthot°b v" -n4 <br /> effectuated without the prior written consent of the' Chief of Police. <br />
