CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> Collection Management Supervisor <br /> Direct the Collection Management Division work plan; assign work activities, projects and <br /> programs; evaluate Division services and work products. <br /> Select, train, motivate and and evaluate personnel; provide for staff development; work with <br /> employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline and termination procedures. <br /> Conduct user surveys; design methods to monitor and evaluate collection use patterns; solicit <br /> community opinion; meet with individuals, community groups and school officials to analyze <br /> changing community needs for library services; develop services and activities responsive to <br /> community needs. <br /> Develop goals and objectives for the Library Department's materials collections in all City <br /> libraries; analyze scope and content; provide for selection of library materials for Main Library <br /> and branch libraries. <br /> Develop programs to stimulate reader interest and provide for implementation of programs in <br /> all City libraries, schools, day care centers, adult facilities and other comminity locations. <br /> Serve on the Library Department management team to develop department-wide service <br /> goals and policies; coordinate Collection Management Division activities with those of all other <br /> Department divisions. <br /> Manage the Department's Popular Materials Center. <br /> Assign selection responsibilities to all professional staff department-wide; set goals and objectives <br /> for selection activity and establish selection standards; evaluate performance. <br /> Plan and conduct quarterly meetings with the Library Department professional staff to <br /> communicate the objectives of the Division and to coordinate progress toward those objectives. <br /> Perform related duties as assigned. <br /> QUALIFICATIONS <br /> Knowledge of: <br /> //73 <br />
