Exhibit "A" <br /> 02/07/92 CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> HOUSING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST III <br /> Definition <br /> To assist in the management of specific redevelopment projects and provide <br /> supervision to professional and technical classifications in the performance <br /> of duties related to the City' s redevelopment efforts; and facilitate the <br /> design and construction of multidisciplinary projects within budget and <br /> schedule. <br /> Distinguishing Characteristics <br /> This class is distinguished from that of Housing and Economic Specialist I <br /> and II by the greater complexity of assignments received including <br /> management of projects and supervision over Specialists I and II. <br /> Supervision Received and Exercised <br /> Receives general supervision from the Housing and Redevelopment Director. <br /> May exercise technical or functional supervision over Specialists I and II. <br /> EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - Depending upon assignment, duties may include but are <br /> not limited to the following: <br /> Management of specific redevelopment projects or redevelopment project <br /> areas. <br /> Process housing and commercial loans and grants from the application stage <br /> up to and including final construction completion and loan servicing; <br /> originate and close loans; determine property improvement needs; prepare <br /> construction specifications; coordinate project bidding, contract management <br /> and payment disbursement. <br /> Analyze, develop and implement programs and plans for housing, economic <br /> development and redevelopment activities including the preparation and review <br /> of requests for proposals and/or qualifications in connection with recommended <br /> projects. <br /> Assist in the development and implementation of short- and long-range <br /> program for new development and business retention and attraction efforts. <br /> Prepare feasibility analysis and planning work related to the formation or <br /> amendment of redevelopment project areas and plans. <br /> 11696 <br />
