-2- <br /> Assist in analyzing new housing and commercial needs and implementing <br /> responsive projects, including pro formal, site appraisal , site acquisition; <br /> determine methods of financing, soliciting and reviewing development proposals, <br /> monitoring community participation, construction and occupancy. <br /> Coordinate community review and feedback for affordable housing projects; <br /> prepare reports and make recommendations to public bodies with regard to <br /> affordable housing projects; market available affordable housing projects to <br /> eligible applicants within the community. <br /> Make recommendations to appropriate City departments regarding project <br /> management programs; affordable housing, and economic development projects. <br /> Assist with on-going administration of funding grants including preparation <br /> of required reports; maintain information on current available programs and <br /> assist in applying for new funding sources; monitor sub-grantees as <br /> assigned. <br /> Attend public meetings; prepare staff reports; represent City before public <br /> bodies and community groups under direction of Division Manager. <br /> QUALIFICATIONS <br /> In addition to the qualifications for Housing/Economic Development <br /> Specialist II: <br /> Knowledge of: <br /> California Community Redevelopment Law and redevelopment practices. <br /> Property acquisition and relocation laws and guidelines. <br /> Ability to: <br /> Plan, lead, organize and control one or more projects. <br /> Be a highly effective communicator, motivator and team builder. <br /> Be multi-disciplinary oriented. <br /> Readily adapt to change. <br /> Experience and Training Guidelines <br /> Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the <br /> required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
