-2- <br /> Supervision Received and Exercised <br /> Housing/Economic Development Specialist I <br /> Receives general supervision from the Housing Coordinator. <br /> May receive general supervision from the Housing/Economic Development <br /> Specialist III. <br /> May receive general supervision from the Housing and Redevelopment Director. <br /> Housing/Economic Development Specialist II <br /> Receives general supervision from the Housing Coordinator. <br /> May receive general supervision from the Housing Economic Development <br /> Specialist III. <br /> May receive general supervision from the Housing and Redevelopment director. <br /> May exercise technical or functional supervision over less experienced staff. <br /> EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - Depending upon assignment, duties may include but are not <br /> limited to the following: <br /> Process housing and commercial loans and grants from the application stage up <br /> to and including final construction completion and loan servicing; originate <br /> and close loans; determine property improvement needs; prepare construction <br /> specifications; coordinate project bidding, contract management and payment <br /> disbursement. <br /> Analyse housing and commercial development proposals and pro formal from <br /> profit and non-profit developers; research developer references and financial <br /> statements. <br /> Prepare feasibility analysis and planning work related to the formation or <br /> amendment of redevelopment project areas and plans. <br /> Conduct work progress inspections; prepare requests for payments to contractors <br /> as needed; account for all payments made; facilitate resolution of contract <br /> disputes between homeowners and contractors. <br /> Prepare marketing and informational materials; compile and analyse data; <br /> maintain file records on all cases served; perform surveys; and interpret <br /> federal and housing, economic development and redevelopment programs in order <br /> to use them in meeting local priorities. <br />
