5:30 AM. The run portion of the event will start at 8:00 AM. Th~ walk will start at 8:30 AM. The course will be completely cleared by 12:00 NOON. 6. Course Control. Those portions of the "Come Grow with US" - 5K and 10K Run and 2 mile Walk taking place in the public rights of way shall occur in a manner and shall be limited to that area designated by the Chief of Police. Should the Chief of Police determine that the provision of Police Officers is required for the control of traffic in connection with the"Come Grow with US" - 5K and 10K Run and 2 mile Walk, said Permittee agrees to reimburse City for costs associated therewith. 7. Insurance. Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and property damage insurance naming the City of Redwood City, its Council, boards, commissions, officers, employees, and agents as insureds, or additional insureds, insuring the same against all claims for personal injury or death to any person or persons resulting or arising from the conducting of the activities herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted or alleged to have arisen therefrom, or from any act or omission to act, of Permittee in connection therewith, in the amounts of $500,000 for each person and $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage insurance for damage or injury to, or destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, in the amount of $500,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in form satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by Permittee to the City at least ten (10) days prior to commencement of the event. 8. Damage to Public Property. Permittee shall reimburse the City for the costs for any damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the designated route, caused by or arising out of, the conducting of the"Come Grow with US" - 5K and 10K Run and 2 mile Walk permitted hereunder, or the acts, or omissions to act, of persons participating in said event. All signs or other markings placed in or upon public property,including the public right of way in connection the "Come Grow with US" - 5K and 10K Run and 2 mile Walk shall be removed immediately following said event. 9. Compliance With Laws. Permittee shall comply with all appropriate and applicable rules, regulations and laws in connection with the conducting of said event, or any activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in addition to all other permits which are or may be required for conducting the "Come Grow with US" - 5K and 10K Run and 2 mile Walk or any associated activity. 10. Hold Harmless. Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnify and save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, commissions, employees and agents from all suits, actions, damages, or claims to which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature whatsoever, resulting from or arising out of the performance or failure to perform of Permittee hereunder, or otherwise arising from or arising out of said race, or any activities herein permitted. 11436
