<br />Section 202 of the Housing Code is <br /> <br />"Section 9.61 <br /> <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"'Section 202 All buildings or portions thereof <br />which are determined to be substandard as defined <br />in this Code are hereby declared to be public <br />nuisances and shall be abated by repair, rehabili- <br />tation, demolition, or removal in accordance with <br />the procedure specified in Article II of Chapter <br />9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City.' <br /> <br />"Section 9.62 <br /> <br />Section 203 of the Housing Code is hereby <br /> <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"'Section 203 The Building Inspector is hereby <br />authorized and empowered to designate representatives <br />of the San Mateo County Department of Health and <br />Welfare to act as his representatives in investigat- <br />ing violations of, and enforcing any provision of, <br />the Code relating to inadequate maintenance, dilapi- <br />dation, decay, damage, inadequate light, air or <br />sanitation facilities, or any other matter determined <br />by the Health Officer as likely to cause a building <br />to be unsanitary, unfit for human habitation or in <br />such a condition that is likely to cause sickness or <br />disease. When so designated such representatives <br />shall have the same powers and duties as the Building <br />Inspector. <br /> <br />"'All references in this Code to the 'Health Officer' <br />shall be construed to be references to representatives <br />of the above mentioned Department of Health and <br />Welfare. ' <br /> <br />"Section 9.63 <br /> <br />Chapters 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 of the <br /> <br />Housing Code are hereby deleted and shall have no force or <br /> <br />effect in the City. <br /> <br />"Article X. SEIS.r-1IC REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />Division I General <br /> <br />The provisions of this article shall be <br /> <br />"Section 9.120 <br /> <br />in addition to all other provisions of the Building Code <br /> <br />insofar as the same relate to lot grading, soils design, <br /> <br />foundation design, construction design, structural design, <br /> <br />and other engineering design, with respect to the areas of <br /> <br />-8- <br />
