<br />, <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />4.: <br /> <br />. 1. <br /> <br />Park & Recreation Commission <br />Minutes of November 2812001 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />ITEM 6 - COYOTES IN REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />Superintendent Hover stated that there was another incident regarding <br />coyotes in the Emerald Hills area near Garrett Park. A woman whose cat is <br />missing had placed signs at Garrett Park. He stated that the coyote problem <br />is a County issue and not one that the City has jurisdiction. Chairperson <br />Joseph stated that she spoke with the County and was advised that the <br />Humane Society has a representative who will speak to neighbors concerning <br />issues with coyotes. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />-Superintendent Hover stated a video of Bay Area Backroads is available if <br />any of the Commissioners are interested in viewing it. The show features <br />Redwood City as part of its program. <br /> <br />-Chairperson Joseph announced she attended the dedication of Little River <br />Park on November 3 and stated it was a nice event. She mentioned that she <br />has offered to be the Commission liaison to the Youth and Teen committees. <br />She has also contacted Maria Hernandez of the John Gardener Center at <br />Stanford. Chairperson Joseph announced she is working on an Adopt-a- <br />Family program and had 15 families participating for the Thanksgiving meal. <br /> <br />-Superintendent Beth announced the "Breakfast with Santa" event to be held <br />on Saturday, December 8 from 9:00am-12noon at the Community Activities <br />Building. <br /> <br />-Director Centeno stated the 'Tis the Season Parade and Fireworks will be <br />held on Saturday, December 1 from 4:30-6:30pm in downtown. <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was adjourned <br />at 8:50pm to be reconvened at 9:30am on Saturday, December 1, 2001 to <br />be held at the Senior Center Annex, 711 Nevada Street, Room 20, Redwood <br />City, California. <br /> <br />
