Commissioner Davis <br />suggested stimulating another group to work on developing another dog park <br />in Redwood City. <br /> <br />-Strategic Plan <br />Director Centeno announced that she and Commissioner Swope have finished <br />. their work on the strategic plan and they prepared a PowerPoint presentation <br />which they showed to the Commission. Director Centeno explained the <br />PowerPoint presentation can be presented to various user groups in order to <br />obtain information about customer needs and also educate people on what <br />services our department provides. The Commissioners made suggestions <br />and comments about the presentation, This matter will be discussed further <br />at the Study Session meeting. Chairperson Joseph announced the Strategic <br />Planning sub-committee will reconvene in January. <br /> <br />-Maddux Park <br />Superintendent Hover announced the Maddux Park renovation is currently in <br />process. <br /> <br />-Spinas Park <br />Superintendent Hover stated that it has been discovered that the Spinas Park <br />tennis court encroaches on the adjoining private property. The property is <br />being surveyed and once this matter has been resolved, the Spinas Park <br />Renovation Committee will reconvene. <br /> <br />-Skate Park <br />Superintendent Chris Beth announced that more than 50 people were in <br />attendance at this evening's Skate Park Design Workshop. Architect lack <br />Wormhoudt presented a proposed design plan and listened to ideas and <br />suggestions from the participants concerning the design. Based on these <br />comments, lack will be revising the proposed plan design and will bring this <br />plan back to the group for approval. Superintendent Beth announced that a <br />skatepark newsletter is being mailed out monthly. Staff is hoping that the <br />skatepark will be finished by Fall of 2002. Commissioner Swope stated that <br />she and Commissioner Truscelli attended this evening's meeting and she <br />commented on lack's ability to work effectively with the participants and on <br />the results of this productive meeting. <br /> <br />.Pets on Parade <br />Chairperson Joseph announced that the Shore Dogs Group might sponsor the <br />Pets on Parade event to be held March 30, 2002. She will be meeting with <br />Julia Mittelstadt to discuss this matter further. <br /> <br />'..!' <br /> <br />" <br />
