<br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />, BOTTOMLEY ASSOCIATES <br />URBAN DESIGN & CITY PLANNING <br /> <br />VIA E.MAIL <br /> <br />August 31,2005 <br /> <br />Mike Church, Planning Manager <br />City of Redwood City <br />1017 Middlefield Road <br />Redwood City, California 94064 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Bayfront Pipeline Alignment Study <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Church, <br /> <br />I would be pleased to assist City of Redwood City staff evaluate pipeline and roadway <br />alignments and their potential effects on adjacent properties in the Docktown/Bayfront area. <br />Proposed work tasks are listed below, and a task-by-task budget spreadsheet is attached for your <br />review. <br /> <br />* * * <br /> <br />Task 1: Staff Meeting # 1. Review study assumptions, issues, and objectives; this could incJude <br />current plans for the alignment of Blomquist Avenue and related intersections, adjacent <br />property ownerships, anticipated water line construction schedule, etc. Review and/or arrange <br />for transmittal of base maps, ROW plan, water line location/easement requirements, and other <br />sources of relevant background information. <br /> <br />Task 2: Data Collection and Mapping. <br /> <br />1) Compile Miscellaneous Maps/Format Base Map - Per City-supplied information. This map will be <br />a to-scale aerial photo with existing and planned ROWs, easements, property lines and other <br />information plotted as available. <br /> <br />2) Properties Data Table - Prepare a table listing existing properties, owners, acreages, zoning, and <br />estimated existing development. <br /> <br />3) Blomquist ROWand Bayfront Trail Diagrams - Prepare enlarged sketch diagrams illustrating <br />current assumptions for roadway, sidewalk, and traiVesplanade width. <br /> <br />Task 3: Staff Meeting #2. Review Base Map, ROW assumptions, and initial ideas for alignment <br />relating to Docktown Marina and other adjacent properties. Discuss/mock up potential <br />development scenarios for adjacent properties. <br /> <br />Task 4: Initial Alignment/Development Concepts.
