Commissioner Davis suggested that staff <br />speak to the person who manages the Truckee skatepark to get information <br />on their rules and regulations. <br /> <br />-Pets on Parade <br />Chairperson Joseph stated that she attended a Shore Dogs meeting and <br />spoke to them about the Pets on Parade event. She said their members <br />were very excited and wanted to actively participate in this event. She <br />announced that Shore Dogs President Julia Mittelstadt is relocating to St. <br />Louis and Daniel Grant will be the new president. Chairperson Joseph will be <br />meeting with Daniel Grant regarding participating in the Pets on Parade event <br />and she will report back to the Commission next month. <br /> <br />ITEM 4 - GUIDELINES FROM CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF PARK <br />AND RECREATION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Chairperson Joseph provided copies of the "Guidelines" newsletter of the <br />California Association of Park and Recreation Commissioners and Board <br />Members (CAPRCBM) to all the Commissioners for their review. <br /> <br />ITEM 5 - REVIEW VIDEO FROM BAY AREA BACKROADS <br /> <br />The Commissioners viewed the video of Bay Area Backroads in which <br />Redwood City was the featured location. Several of our City parks were <br />noted in the video presentation. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />-Superintendent Hover provided the Commissioners with an overview of the <br />Fiscal Year 2002-2003 Capital Improvement Project list. <br /> <br />-Chairperson Joseph announced a tree planting event to be held on Saturday, <br />January 26. The event will begin at 9:00am at Spinas Park and the trees will <br />be planted near Hoover Park. <br /> <br />-The City Council Priority Session meeting will be held on Saturday, January <br />26 at the Main Library Community Room from 8:30am-1:45pm. <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was adjourned <br />at 9:00pm to be reconvened at 7:30pm on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 to <br />be held at the Community Activities, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, <br />California. <br /> <br />~ <br />
