<br />Park and Recreation Commission <br />Minutes of September 25, 2002 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />-Skate Park <br />Superintendent Beth reported that grading work is being done on the site <br />and no calls have been received from the public since the construction <br />began. The Task Force will be meeting on October 9 at the Red Morton <br />Center. He reported that over $4,000 has been collected from the sale of <br />pavers and tiles. <br /> <br />-Windmill Restoration <br />Chairperson Joseph reported she met with Susan Moller regarding having the <br />windmill included in the downtown renovation plan. She felt that the <br />windmill's location needs to be decided along with the next steps. The <br />Commissioners discussed the matter and many felt that there needs to be a <br />lead agency or organization to spearhead this project. Commissioner <br />Truscelli stated she would make an announcement to local service clubs at <br />the October 7 meeting of the Interservice Coordinating Council. Chairperson <br />Joseph announced she would go back to the Historic Resources Advisory <br />Committee to see if they might be interested in handling this project. <br /> <br />ITEM 6 - DISCUSSION OF PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CALENDAR <br /> <br />The Commissioners decided to move their November 27 meeting to <br />November 20 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Chairperson Joseph <br />suggested having the November meeting in Courtroom A at the San Mateo <br />County Historical Museum. There was not consensus on this matter. The <br />Commissioners will not meet in December because of the Board and <br />Commission Dinner held the same month. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />There were no announcements. <br /> <br />ITEMS FOR NEXT MONTH'S AGENDA <br />-Form Nomination Committee in preparation of election of officers at <br />November meeting; presentation by Youth & Family Assistance program <br />(YFA), Spinas Park Design Plans, input from Stafford Park neighbors on <br />proposed rules at Stafford Park and final approval of Stafford Park rules <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was adjourned <br />at 9:25pm to be reconvened at 7:30pm on Wednesday, October 23,2002 to <br />be held at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, <br />Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />
