The Commissioners were provided copies of the Departmental <br />Budget Reduction Scenario. <br /> <br />ITEM 4 - STRATEGIC PLAN UPDATE AND TIMELINE <br /> <br />Director Centeno reviewed the five overarching goals contained in the draft <br />Strategic Plan. Superintendent Hover reviewed the proposed completion <br />timeline and reports, and ties to budget process. Superintendent Beth <br />facilitated a discussion with Commission on what was missing from the draft <br />plan. <br /> <br />What's Missing? <br />1.) Gather input from other boards and commissions <br />(SAC, CCC, Fa Board) <br />2.) No prioritization and timeline <br />3.) Format <br />4.) Statement <br /> <br />ITEM 5 - 4TH OF JULY PARADE FLOAT <br /> <br />Commissioner Joseph spoke about the plans for the Commission's 4th of July <br />float. Decorating will take place on July 2 at. 5: OOpm at the Municipal <br />Services Center (MSC) and on July 3 at 5:00pm. The float will be located i~ <br />Division 2 and Commissioners riding on the float need to report to Arguello <br />and Brewster by 9:50am. <br /> <br />ITEM 6 - STAFF UPDATES <br /> <br />-Spinas' Park . <br />Superintendent Hover reported that bids will be opened on July 2 and <br />awarded July 14 by the City Council. <br /> <br />-Skate Park <br />Superintendent Beth reported that the Police Department is patrolling the <br />park every day and have reported no negative activity. Staff is looking at a <br />skateboard competition in August. <br /> <br />-Fair Oaks School Field <br />Superintendent Hover reported the County has approved $300,000 for this <br />project and the School District has approved $275,000. The shortfall of <br />$625,000 has been included in the CIP project budget for next fiscal year. <br /> <br />-Stafford Park BBQs <br />Superintendent Hover reported that the three new BBQs have been installed <br />at Stafford Park. <br /> <br />
