Park and Recreation Commission Minutes of November 19, 2003 Page 3 -Skate Park . Superintendent Beth reported that repairs to the cement surface of the skate park were recently completed. -Fair Oaks School Field Superintendent Hover reported that all bids for this project were rejected. The project wHI be going out to bid at a later date. -Redwood Shores Lagoons Director Centeno reported two scheduled meetings for Commissioners Joseph and Swope had been cancelled. The most recent because of the absence of RSCA President Rosanne Foust due to a family emergency. The Director was informed earlier in the evening that the Association was scheduled to vote on the guidelines on Thursday, November 20. -Proposition 40 Superintendent Hover stated a report will go to Council in January to encumber the funds for this project. . . ITEM 7 - DISCUSSION OF PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION CALENDAR . The Commission's Study Session will be held on Saturday, December 6 at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center, Goldstar Room from 12:00-3:00pm. Commissioner Davis stated he would not be able to attend this meeting. ANNOUNCEMENTS -Commissioner Joseph mentioned the "Tree Care Workshop" which will be offered by Public Works Superintendent Gordon Mann. She asked about a possible partnership with City Trees. -The Commissioners were reminded to please RSVP to Deanna LaCroix for the annual Board and Commission Dinner to be held on December 4. -The Courthouse Square Design meeting will be held on December 11 from 7:00-10:00pm at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. ITEMS FOR NEXT MONTH'S AGENDA -Election of Officers, Strategic Plan The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was adjourned at 9:22pm to be reconvened at 12:00pm on Saturday, December 6,2003 for the Study Session to be held at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, California.
