The Commissioners expressed positive <br />comments for the program and their willingness to participate. <br /> <br />ITEM 2 - REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF SOLARI WINDMILL <br />RENOVATION AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Superintendent Hover announced the San Mateo County History Museum was <br />interested in restoring the windmill but did not want to accept the <br />responsibility of finding a home for the windmill. He provided the <br />Commissioners with a copy of an agreement drawn up by the City Attorney <br />which would have the Museum take the lead on restoring the windmill and <br />the City would work with them to determine an appropriate location for <br />placement. Superintendent Hover said this agreement would need to be <br />approved by the San Mateo County History Museum Board of Directors and <br />then by our City Council. All donations and project funds collected for the <br />restoration project will also be turned over to the History Museum. <br />Commissioner Joseph asked about having the windmill named in honor of <br />Jean Cloud. The Commissioners suggested waiting until the project is <br />finished and have the cost of plaque be paid from the project funds. <br /> <br />MIS Truscellil Joseph: To approve the resolution on the windmill <br />and that it be forwarded to City Council with the changes mentioned <br />this evening. <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />ITEM 3 - REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF PARK RESERVATION POLICY <br /> <br />Superintendent Beth reviewed the revised park reservation policy with the <br />Commissioners. More suggestions/corrections were made to the policy <br />including identifying the capacity of each picnic area; timing of reservations; <br />cost of permits; payment of fees; having renter post their permits at the <br />site; and registration process. Director Centeno confirmed the Commission <br />would be presenting this recommendation to Council which would then be <br />adopted by ordinance. <br /> <br />ITEM 4 - STRATEGIC PLAN DRAFT DISTRIBUTION AND TIMELINE <br /> <br />The Commissioners were provided with a draft copy of the strategic plan and <br />were requested to bring their comments to the March meeting. <br /> <br />ITEM 5 - DEPARTMENTAL BUDGET OVERVIEW <br /> <br />Director Centeno gave an update of the City's and our department's budget <br />status. She explained the reasons for the deficit and asked Superintendents <br />Beth and Hover to discuss the department's projected cuts for FYO4-0S. Our <br />department's budget is due to the City Manager on March 19 and, the <br />Commissioners will be provided with a copy of the same budget packet. <br /> <br />
