Commissioner- Joseph said there is a new chairperson <br />of the Redwood Shores Community Organization and the group is continuing <br />to meet on this subject. <br /> <br />-Fair Oaks Field <br />Superintendent Hover announced the project was re-bid and the bids came in <br />lower than the first bid process. <br /> <br />ITEM 7 - DISCUSSION OF PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CALEN DAR <br /> <br />-Commissioner Truscelli announced the Redwood City Citizen of the Year <br />Awards wilt be held on February 28 at the American Legion and Arbor Day, <br />will be held at 2:00pm on March 6 at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. <br /> <br />-Director Centeno said the City Clerk has begun announcing openings on <br />various City boards and commissions. She stated that three Park and <br />Recreation Commissioners have terms expiring and reminded them that they <br />need to re-apply if they are interested. She also asked the Commissioners.to <br />think about other people who might be interested in applying~ The <br />applications can be obtained on the City's website as well as various City <br />facilities. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />-Commissioner. Joseph announced the March 4 meeting of the Courthouse <br />Plaza project at the Veterans Memorial Center at 7: OOpm. <br /> <br />-The Sequoia Awa rds will be held on Thursday, February 26 at the Hotel <br />Sofitel. <br /> <br />ITEMS FOR NEXT MONTH'S AGENDA. <br /> <br />-Strategic Plan, Picnic Reservation Policy <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and ,Recreation Commission was adjourned <br />at 9:35pm to be reconvened at 7:30pm on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 to <br />be held at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, <br />Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />"f: .;~ .
