COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioners Truscelli and Walsh <br /> <br />TEEN ADVISORY BOARD PRESENT: None <br /> <br />YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD PRESENT: None <br /> <br />GUESTS PRESENT: Mr. and Mrs. Coy Deal <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT: Director Corinne Centeno, Superintendent Gary Hover, <br />Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was called to <br />order by Chairperson Bob Yapp at 7: 30pm in Room 5 of the Com munity <br />Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />The minutes of the March 24 meeting were approved as mailed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Davis made corrections to the April 28 minutes, page 4. <br />Under comments from Merrily Robinson, change word "alcohol" to <br />"champagne"; add "distressing" before word "racial". Under Commission <br />Discussion, Commissioner Davis's comments should read: "questioned if <br />there was a connection between alcohol and the incident at the CAB; <br />encouraged citizens to notify the Park and Recreation Com mission when <br />there is a problem so it can be resolved". The minutes of the April 28 <br />meeting were approved as corrected. <br /> <br />CORRESPON DENCE <br /> <br />A letter was received from Danielle Abaya requesting the donation from the <br />Commission to help send her to a youth conference. Since the Commission <br />does not have a budget, they were not able to make a donation. Copies of <br />the letter will be mailed to each of the Commissioners if they wish to make a <br />private donation. <br /> <br />ITEM 1- UPDATE FROM YOUTH AND TEEN ADVISORY BOARDS <br /> <br />No representatives were in attendance to provide a report. <br /> <br />
