<br /> <br />¡ <br /> <br />. .. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission <br />Minutes of June 23, 2004 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Commissioner Joseph stated the Park and Recreation Commission did not <br />give their recommendation for the permit when it was issued in 2002. <br /> <br />The Commissioners discussed the two options provided by staff. <br /> <br />MIS Swope/Truscelli: To direct the representative of Stanford <br />University-to return to the Redwood Shores community organizations <br />for written approval of their revocable permit and bring it back to the <br />Park and Recreation Commission within 90 days. <br /> <br />Commissioner Joseph suggested adding an amendment to the motion <br />regarding removing Craig Amerikhanian from the permit. There was no <br />formal amendment made and seconded by the Commission. <br /> <br />Commissioner Morton felt the Commission should not take any action at this <br />time as he believes there are a lot of issues that need to be dealt with; and <br />that more research needs to be done on the matter. <br /> <br />Motion passed. (Yes-5, No-l Morton) <br /> <br />The meeting was recessed at 9: 29pm and called back to order at 9: 3S pm. <br />Commissioner Morton left the meeting at this time. <br /> <br />ITEM 3 - UPDATES <br /> <br />-4th of July Float <br />Commissioner Joseph gave an update on the float and announced that float <br />decorating will take place on Saturday, July 3 at 10: OOam at the MSC. <br /> <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />-Orientation of New Commissioners <br />Director Centeno announced the City Council will make the appointments to <br />the Park and Recreation Commission on Monday, June 28. The <br />Commissioners discussed various options of orienting the new <br />Commissioners and decided to schedule an informal meeting with the new <br />Commissioners, Chairperson Yapp and staff. <br /> <br />ITEM 4 - DISCUSSION OF PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CALENDAR . <br /> <br />New calendars were given to the Commissioners. <br /> <br />ITEMS FOR NEXT MONTH'S AGENDA <br /> <br />-BBQs in Parks, Interim Rules at Stafford Park <br />
