Kayak Club to work together to <br />file a permit requesting an area for a public access and storage <br />facility, and that the Commission supports public recreational <br />activities. ' <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Director Centeno stated the topic of lagoon guidelines will be placed on the <br />Commission's November agenda. Lagoon guidelines have been provided by <br />the Redwood Shores Community Association and Director Centeno is trying <br />to see how they fit into the City's current ordinances. <br /> <br />The meeting was recessed at 8:45pm and called back to order at 9:04pm. <br /> <br />ITEM 3 - STRATEGIC PLAN PRESENTATION FOR CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Director Centeno, Superintendents Hover and Beth, Chairperson Yapp and <br />Commissioner Swope did a run-through of the strategic plan presentation <br />which will be presented to City Council on September 27. <br /> <br />ITEM 4 - UPDATES <br /> <br />-Fair Oaks Field Grand Opening <br />Superintendent Hover announced the grand opening will be held on <br />Wednesday, November 10 at 4:00pm. <br /> <br />-Court House Plaza Project ' <br />Superintendent Hover stated Susan Moeller would like to come to the <br />Commission's October meeting to discuss the Court House Plaza Project. He <br />will confirm her attendance. <br /> <br />-Community Wellness Festival <br />Superintendent Beth reported that although the weather was cloudy, more <br />than 2,000 people attended the festival at the Veterans Memorial Senior, <br />Center. <br /> <br />-Report from Sub-Committee on Interim Rules at Stafford Park <br />Vice Chairperson Morton stated that he and Commissioners Joseph and White <br />met to discuss the interim rules and would like input from the Stafford Park <br />neighborhood on the ordinance revision. The sub-committee is looking to <br />bring a rough draft back to the Commission in November. <br /> <br />Superintendent Beth announced 118 park reservations have been received in <br />a two month period, resulting in more than $4,000 in reservation income.' <br /> <br /> <br />~'.o <br />.','!' , <br />" ':.J <br />., :. .-it; <br />. ~':"!"- <br />.
