He reported that the sub- <br />committee will meet to debrief and develop a draft recommendation to be <br />presented to the Commission at the January meeting. <br /> <br />ITEM 5 - UPDATES <br /> <br />-Fair Oaks Field <br />Superintendent Hover reported that the grand opening will be held on Friday, <br />November 19 at 4:00pm. - <br /> <br />-Windmill <br />Superintendent Hover stated he met with Mitch Postel and a board member <br />of the Historical Association to discuss the Windmill project. A site for the <br />windmill has been identified outside the entrance of Union Cemetery. <br />Superintendent Hover updated the Commissioners on the process the <br />Historical Association will follow in the restoration process. The transfer of <br />restoration funds to the Historical Association will go to City Council for <br />approval. Commissioner Joseph would like a defined timeline of the project <br />and installation. She mentioned the Solari Family would like to attend the <br />dedication I <br /> <br />ITEM 6 - ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR 2005 <br /> <br />Commissioner Joseph recommended that Bob Yapp remain as chairperson <br />and Scott Morton as vice chairperson for the Commission in 2005. <br /> <br />MIS Joseph/Yapp: To nominate Bob Yapp as chairperson and Scott <br />Morton as vice chairperson of the Park and Recreation Commission <br />for 2005. <br />No other nominations were received. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />ITEM 7 - DISCUSSION OF PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CALENDAR <br /> <br />Director Centeno announced the department has funding for one <br />Commissioner to attend the CPRS Conference in March and that Vice <br />Chairperson Mort'on has expressed an interest in attending. She asked that <br />Superintendent Beth work with Vice Chairperson Morton regarding the <br />registration process. <br /> <br />
