<br />MSR: jp: 8/2/77 <br /> <br />.... <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AuG 15 1977 <br /> <br />--------- <br /> <br />NO.1il5- <br /> <br />0 R DIN AN C E <br /> <br />ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARIES FOR CERTAIN DESIGNATED <br />EMPLOYEES OF THE REDWOOD CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND <br />REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1665 <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 1665, entitled "Ordinance Estab- <br /> <br />lishing Salaries for Certain Designated Employees of the Redwood <br /> <br />City Police Department; and, Repealing <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 1553," is <br /> <br />hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. <br /> <br />The following monthly salary rates, in dollars, <br /> <br />for the periods stated, are established for the employee positions <br /> <br />within the employment classifications relating to police depart- <br /> <br />ment personnel, set out below, within the designated ranges <br /> <br />hereinafter set forth, for the period July 1, 1977 through <br /> <br />July 31, 1978, except as otherwise expressly stated: <br /> <br />Steps <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />Police Officer <br /> <br />1087-1145-1205-1264-1328-1396-1464 <br /> <br />Police Sergeant <br /> <br />1386-1457-1530-1604-1686 <br /> <br />Communications Dis- <br />patcher Assigned to <br />the Police Department <br /> <br />1028-1077-1133-1188-1248 <br /> <br />Police Clerk Matron <br /> <br />957-1007-1056-1109-1163 <br /> <br />SECTION 3. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Each police officer, police sergeant, <br /> <br />communications dispatcher assigned to the Police Department, and <br /> <br />police clerk matron regularly assigned to a night shift as herein <br /> <br />defined, shall receive additional compensation in an amount equal <br /> <br />to 2-1/2% of his basic monthly salary for each month during the <br /> <br />period he is so assigned; provided, however, that such additional <br /> <br />compensation shall not be included in computations for overtime <br /> <br />or other pay differentials. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Each communications dispatcher assigned to the Police <br /> <br />Department who is regularly assigned to a relief schedule requiring <br /> <br />1715 <br />
