Chairperson Yapp expressed his interest <br />in attending with Superintendent Beth. <br /> <br />ITEM 2 - REPORT FROM PARK RULES SUB-COMMITTEE <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Morton reported that the sub-committee is looking at <br />formatting and that a draft of the recommendations should be given to staff <br />for input so that it can be brought back to the Commission. He noted that' <br />the recommendations will be more a general direction to staff of what needs <br />to be done and does not attempt to develop ordinance language. <br /> <br />ITEM 3 - INPUT FROM COMMISSION ON CIP PROJECTS <br /> <br />. Superintendent Hover reviewed the proposed CIP listing and asked for input <br />from the Commission. Vice Chairperson Morton asked for clarification on <br />what the Parks and Recreation Commission would typically see and when <br />they would provide input. The group discussed the synthetic turf field issue <br />and how it might impact future plans for other Red Morton Park plans such as <br />a Wellness Center and the pool. The Commission indicated they wished to be <br />involved in Fleishman Park renovation and the synthetic turf conversion <br />particularly as it relates to Red Morton Park in order to maximize the use of <br />park fields. Vice Chairperson Morton and Commissioner Swope volunteered <br />to represent the Commission on synthetic turf fields at Red Morton Park. <br /> <br />ITEM 4 - UPDATES <br /> <br />-Windmill Project <br />Superintendent Hover reported that the check to the San Mateo County <br />Historical Association would be presented at the April Association Board of <br />Directors meeting as per the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding <br />approved by Council. . <br /> <br />-Park Development Ordinance <br />Superintendent Hover reported that the agreement with MIG to prepare a <br />nexus study for a park development ordinance should be returned to the City <br />within the next two weeks and a first meeting with the Steering Committee <br />will be scheduled two to four weeks after that date. <br /> <br />-Update on RC American Little League Batting Cage Permit <br />Superintendent Beth reported that the American Little League has not <br />obtained all of the signatures from neighbors as they are working on <br />preparation for the upcoming season. Commissioner White noted that the <br />Commission has already voted on this item so that there is no need to return <br />the item for Commission approval. <br /> <br />-Budget Update <br />Director Centeno reported that the entire Department Head Team has agreed <br />to develop a recommendation representing about $850,000 in budget cuts or <br /> <br />." <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />.. <br />
