Based on these adopted standards, MIG would <br />proceed to develop the nexus study and ultimately the ordinance. <br /> <br />- Fleishman Park Update <br />Director Centeno and Superintendent Hover shared written notes from the <br />Community Input meeting developed by Commissioner Swope and <br />described plans for a future meeting with the architects prior to the next <br />community meeting scheduled for Saturday, August 6th, <br /> <br />- Budget Update <br />Director Centeno reported that the City Council held their budget study <br />sessions on Monday, June 20th and would return on Monday, June 27th for <br />a review of the Capital Improvement and Redevelopment Budget. No <br />changes were recommended to the Department submittal. Council <br />requests for changes focused on traffic engineer support and the handling <br />of tre e pe rm its. <br /> <br />~ Concerts in the Park <br />Director Centeno noted that each Commissioner had received a card with <br />concert schedules. The first Downtown Live concert took place this past <br />Friday evening with about 100 people in attendance. Stafford Park <br />concerts will begin Wednesday, June 29th. <br /> <br />- Community Gardens <br />Superintendent Beth reported that we would receive a $5,000 grant from <br />Peninsula Community Foundation to support development of a garden <br />behind the NFL Alumni Association building involving the Teen Advisory <br />Board and participants in the ARAP and Senior programs. Superintendent <br />Hover reported that staff has indicated that our application on behalf of <br />neighbors on Johnson Street to the San Francisco Public Utilities <br />Commission would ~ikely be approved. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />- Parks for the Future <br />Director Centeno reported about the effort, led by the San Mateo County <br />Parks Foundation, to secure permanent funding for parks throughout the <br />County via a lIB-cent sales tax, which would yield about $16,000,000 per <br />year in new revenues. Representatives of City Managers from various <br />cities and County representatives are working to see if agreement can be <br />reached around funding percentages and maintenance of effort.
