<br />IISection 8.9. <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for any person <br /> <br />to operate or use a bicycle upon any of the streets, <br /> <br />alleys or public highways of the city without first <br /> <br />obtaining from the Fire Department a license therefcr. <br /> <br />If a person shall operate or use a bicycle in the afore- <br /> <br />mentioned manner, without obtaining a bicycle license, <br /> <br />such act shall be punishable by a fine of Five Dollars <br /> <br />($5.00) . <br /> <br />SECTION 4. <br /> <br />Section 8.10 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />The Fire Department is hereby authorized <br /> <br />IISection 8.10. <br /> <br />and directed to issue and affix bicycle licenses upon applica- <br /> <br />tion therefore and to complete a corresponding identifying <br /> <br />registration form. <br /> <br />A license, when issued, shall entitle <br /> <br />the licensee to operate the bicycle for which the license <br /> <br />has been issued for the term thereoÎ upon all the streets, <br /> <br />alleys and public highways, exclusive of sidewalks, in the City. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. <br /> <br />Section 8.11 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />IISection 8.11. <br /> <br />( a) <br /> <br />The City shall issue bicycle <br /> <br />license indicia and registration forms provided by the <br /> <br />California Department of Motor Vehicles for all bicycles <br /> <br />as defined by this chapter operated or used within the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of the Fire <br /> <br />Department to attach such indicia to each such bicycle, <br /> <br />and to issue a corresponding registration form to the <br /> <br />licensee upon the payment of the license fee provided for <br /> <br />in Section 8.14. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
