<br />Division shall receive additional compensation in an amount equal <br /> <br />to 6.5% of his basic monthly salary for each month during the period <br /> <br />he is so assigned; provided, however, that each such employee shall <br /> <br />not be credited with the uniform maintenance allowance provided <br /> <br />under Section 4 of Rule VI of the Personnel Rules and Regulations <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City during the period of such assignment. <br /> <br />SECTION 7. <br /> <br />The provisions of the foregoing sections of this <br /> <br />ordinance to the contrary notwithstanding, if a position allocated <br /> <br />to a given class in the competitive service is reallocated to a <br /> <br />different class in order to correct an error or to provide for a <br /> <br />change in duties or responsibilities of such position, and there is <br /> <br />no change in the incumbent of the position so reallocated, and the <br /> <br />maximum salary provided for the position as reallocated is less than <br /> <br />the salary received by the incumbent prior to reallocation, then <br /> <br />said incumbent shall continue to be compensated at the rate paid said <br /> <br />incumbent prior to such allocation. <br /> <br />SECTION 8. <br /> <br />Any and all ordinances, or parts thereof, in <br /> <br />conflict with the provisions hereof are hereby repealed to the <br /> <br />extent of such conflict only. <br /> <br />SECTION 9. <br /> <br />This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after <br /> <br />its adoption; provided, however, the provisions hereof shall be <br /> <br />operative retroactively to and including January 1, 1976. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />-3- <br />
