<br />--------- <br /> <br />~ Q. 1 663 <br /> <br />CGM:dp:l/7/76 <br />CGM:wg:l/20/76R <br />DES:dp:l/27/76R <br /> <br />ORIGiNAL <br />FEB 2 1976 <br /> <br />0 R DIN A N C E <br /> <br />ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 20.95.1 TO CEAPTER 20, OF <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO <br />PARKING VIOLATIONS IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />Section 20.95.1 is hereby added to Chapter 20 <br /> <br />of the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 20.95.1(a) <br /> <br />If a vehicle shall remain parked <br /> <br />in a parking space beyond the parking time limit fixed for <br /> <br />such parking space in accordance with the provisions of <br /> <br />this division, such vehicle shall be considered as parked <br /> <br />overtime and beyond the period of legal parking time in <br /> <br />that event, and the parking of a vehicle overtime or beyond <br /> <br />the period of legal parking time in any such part of a <br /> <br />street where parking is limited to a specific period of <br /> <br />time shall be a violation of this division. <br /> <br />"It shall be unlawful and a violation of the provisions <br /> <br />of this division for any person to cause, allow, permit or <br /> <br />suffer any vehicle registered in the name of, or operated <br /> <br />by such person to be parked overtime or beyond the period <br /> <br />of legal parking time established for any parking space. <br /> <br />" (b) <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of each police officer to <br /> <br />take the state vehicle license of such vehicle; the time, <br /> <br />place, and date of such overparking; and make of such <br /> <br />vehicle; and issue, in writing, a citation for illegal <br /> <br />parking in the same form and subject to the same procedure <br /> <br />provided for by the laws of the state applicable to traffic <br /> <br />violations within the city. <br /> <br />1663 <br />
